- Our estimator will confirm the product type for each area, including seam placement and direction (if applicable.)
- After measuring, Underfoot Flooring will calculate the total cost for labor and materials. For price inquiries, please reach out to one of our sales associates.

ESTIMATES
- Your sales associate will provide your estimate within three business days.
- Your approval, either verbal or written, is required to proceed with your order.
PURCHASING
- Once you approve, payment for materials and tax is required along with a signed work order.
Payments can be made via cash, check, or credit/debit card. The remaining balance is due upon job completion.
- We will order materials as soon as payment is received. Payments can be made over the phone, by mail, or in person. Note that mail payments may delay material ordering.
- Installation will be scheduled once special order materials arrive or if items are in stock.
BEFORE INSTALLATION
- The room temperature must be at least 69°F for 24 hours prior to installation.
- All rooms where flooring will be installed should be completely cleared of furniture unless being moved by Underfoot Flooring.
- For a fee, our installers can move standard, empty furniture that doesn’t require disassembly. Moving excessively large or heavy items may incur additional charges.
- Customers must remove valuables, collectibles, lamps, wall hangings, bed coverings, and small items before installation. All closets should be cleared from floor up to waist level.
- Electronic devices requiring tuning or leveling must be disconnected and moved by the customer before flooring installation. Examples include grandfather clocks, pool tables, aquariums, televisions, computers, stereo systems, pianos, and antiques.
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS
- No flooring or carpet seam is completely invisible; seam visibility varies by carpet or flooring type.
- Please inform your installer of any concealed supply lines, audio/visual communications, or security system wiring to prevent damage during installation.
- With some flooring types, doors may not swing freely. We will remove and rehang doors as possible but will not trim them to fit the new floor covering.
- Gas ranges and ice makers should be disconnected and reconnected by a licensed plumber or the homeowner.
- If quarter round or wall base needs removal for proper installation, we can remove and replace them at your request, but we cannot guarantee they won’t chip, scratch, or break during the process.
ON THE DAY OF INSTALLATION
- Underfoot Flooring will arrive between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM on the day of installation unless otherwise discussed.
- Show the installer the work area and leave a contact number if you will be leaving your home.
- All flooring installed by Underfoot Flooring will adhere to the manufacturer’s installation guidelines. Any deviations will be discussed and approved by you in writing.
- Dust is a common byproduct of construction projects. While we take precautions to protect your furnishings, you may need to touch up walls, baseboards, or moldings afterward.
- Please ensure that electricity and running water are available during the installation.
Underfoot Flooring’s experienced team can address any questions you may have about the installation process, expected timelines, and available warranties or guarantees.
We’ll help you select the best flooring option for your home and budget, ensuring a successful installation project.
